Paris, Je T'Aime

This past weekend I went to Paris! We were there from Friday until Monday morning. Definitely not long enough to do everything we wanted to, but long enough for me to fall in love with the place. It really is a beautiful city and the pictures hardly do it justice, especially at night. We went by bus, so the trip took about eight hours. The long bus ride was totally worth it, though. Soooo, here we go!

the mountain of stairs we had to climb to get to where we were staying...
no, really, we stayed on the top of a mountain...
 the view outside....

and this is how we got around the city...
musée du Louvre...

our first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower...

 around the city...

we went to Père Lachaise Cemetery...

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris...

a video of the procession...

carvings on the outside of the cathedral...

of course we all had to have a Crêpe...

love locks on the Pont de l'Archevêché...
 crossing the Seine...

 a carousel...
 and obviously we rode it...

 ah and finally...the Eiffel Tower...

 the view from the top...

the sparkling lights on the Eiffel Tower...

day 2 began with some much needed coffee...at Starbucks...in Versailles!!

 Louis XIV himself...

 hall of mirrors...

 the King's bedroom...

 the Queen's bedroom...

 the gardens...

 gator chompin...

Avenue des Champs-Élysées...

 Arc de Triomphe...

a video of the view...
and these are the stairs we climbed to reach the top...

 Moulin Rouge...

it was closed when we got there since it was late on Sunday, but we were all a little relieved...no one really wanted to go into a strip club...
my first ever pint of Guinness...

Such an amazing trip! I really hope I get the opportunity to go back again to visit everything we missed the first time around.
